Our Rotary club has been serving the Branson/Lakes area for 75 years. Our legacy is one of charitable giving and dedication to our fellow citizens in our community--and throughout the world.
We invite you to visit our club or contact a Rotarian for more information about what Rotary service can mean for you.
|When you throw a party, you hope people show up...and boy, did our Club show up! We had a total of 160 guests, over 75 Branson-Hollister Rotarians, 6 district leaders and countless community members attend our 75th Anniversary party last week!
The planning committee--LaDella Thomas, Jeff Bilberry, Jeff Long, Becky Harmon and Pharra Mucke--along with our "Historians", made sure to incorporate those things we hold dear into the celebration--the Cub Scouts Pack 93 who we have sponsored for over 50 years leading us in the Pledge, our Rotary song, beautifully performed by members of Boxen and a touching prayer by Bill Budnick. Our flags--some from the other side of the globe--were displayed artfully by Gerry Gerhart and Chuck Achterberg.
We surprised 3 Rotarians with special Club awards in the areas of Spirit (to Janet Akers), Service (to LaDella Thomas) and Legacy (to Arno Wehr II). We walked down memory lane with Edd Akers, Karen Hall, Arno Wehr II, Arno Wehr III, Shawn Pingleton, Richard Bottorf and Barry Dautrich (who takes the WIN for biggest laugh of the night!)
Most importantly, we reminded ourselves and illustrated to our guest the level of impact we, as Rotarians, have had on the Branson/Lakes community and throughout the world over our 75 years. Proud to be a Rotarian!
